Annapolis District UMMen End Hunger Project

  • When: Saturday, January 30, 2021, 7:00 am to 9:00 am (EST)

  • Where: Eastport UMC, 926 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403

  • Purpose: In partnership with the Society of Saint Andrew, the UMMen will provide 800 50-lb bags of fresh Maine potatoes to churches and food bank organizations, who wish to help feed the hungry in their community. All bags must be reserved in advance. 

  • Instructions

    • If you arrive before 7:00 am, please park on the adjoining streets. You will be directed by a volunteer to drive to the church parking lot, where you will be given your reserved bags of potatoes.  Please arrive no later than 8:30 am as the project will close down at 9:00 am.  

    • On your arrival, you will be asked to drop off  the  SOSA waiver form  for your organization, which must be signed by all volunteers in your car or truck in advance.   We can not provide you the potatoes unless this form is signed.

    • To ensure you receive all of your bags, please print the email sent to you or print in large letters the following information:
       

      • ​ORGANIZATION NAME
         
      • NUMBER OF BAGS RESERVED

        and hold up to your window for a volunteer to check you off. Because of the Pandemic, DO NOT  roll down your window.
